I loved these short stories and highly recommend it to any romance readers. I prefer the author's short stories because I didn't become too attached to the characters and what they thought or did. Unlike some other very famous books that are out right now; I won't name any of them. I have never really been much of a romance reader type of person. That's why I would say that this is perfect for someone who wants to change up the books they are reading.On another note, the short stories are perfect for a busy person that's always on the go!
I fully enjoyed all three stories in Playing Doctor. Each one had likable characters, fun story lines and plenty of super sexy action. This book is nearly impossible to put down. Loved all the stories but my favorite was The Intern. Lots of buildup with tons of sexy escapades and a great ending! Eagerly awaiting Kate Allures's next book Lawyering Up.

I thought this was a great find. The stories are exactly what they’re advertised to be: steamy, quick, and fun fantasy.They’re not deep -- that’s not the point -- but I like the writing. I wish my doctors were half as sexy as Luka and Hunter!

Three short stories about women searching for love. My favorite was "My Doctor, My Husband, and Me." The only issue I had was that I wanted to know what happens after the story ended. I wanted more of the characters and their lives together.

They are all erotica novellas, in which the female character find or rediscover her sensual side. These tales present the females journey and not necessarily a HEA type of romance. Yes, they are happily ever after at the end of the book, but not because they have found their own true love, but because they have learned how to love themselves above all.2 stars novellaThe first story is The Intern, which is my least favorite of the three. I had a hard time connecting with the heroine, and I guess I'm all about characters. Even though I didn't like the heroine much, I've enjoy the concept of her journey of self-discovery.4 stars novellaThe second story, My doctor, my husband and me, is my favorite of three. Even though the plot doesn't seem very realistic for me, I've enjoyed their encounter and the idea behind it all. There are some pretty hot scenes at this one.3 stars novellaThe third story, Seize The Doctor, is a fun tale with an amazing hot scene at a doctor's office!You MAY read this book because you enjoy anthologies; you SHOULD read this book because you are looking for some erotic read; but you MUST read this book to have some fun time "playing doctor"!"We only get one life to live, and we have to seize opportunities when they come along. I am living my dreams with courage, stepping to a beat that is mine alone, and truly living my life to the fullest with no regrets, I realize, as I drift off to sleep in the tropical sunshine."
The Intern is about a divorced doctor that runs a general practice in a small town. She takes on a young intern for the summer as a favor for a friend. She is surprised to find that he's very hot and she's attracted to him. Their antics are a little juvenile as they pursue each other. But when they finally give in to their desire, the sex is hot. I found the story pretty interesting. I just wish that there had been some variation to the wording. It came across a little clinical for me, but it was still stimulating. The ending felt rushed and even though you get a HEA, it's not a typical happy-ever-after ending.My Doctor, My Husband and Me was a slight step up in the maturity department. A middle-aged woman finds herself attracted to her foot surgeon and once her foot is healed, she invites him to participate in a menage-a-trois with her and her husband. The Doctor was hot. The sex was a bit hotter than in the first story. I was bothered at the beginning by the first-person point of view. Valerie's inner dialog seemed a bit strange, perhaps. Once again, the story just kind of ends without much resolution.Seize the Doctor was definitely the best story of the three. It is a romantic love story with some great moments of humor, humiliation, and falling in love. It even taps into the uncertainties you often feel when trying to get into a new relationship after being cheated on. Nikki and Hunter are an adorable, believable couple. I loved how the story ended.Overall, the three stories had potential. They could each easily be expanded into full novels with more detail and be captivating stories. My biggest complaint about the stories is the need for better editing. There was an over abundance of exclamation points that ruined key moments, especially the sex scenes. I give the whole set 3 stars, noting that the potential is there for better stories.I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
