What a a little masterpiece. Full of real advice for those tweens and preteens and even younger girls to have fun with and keep like a journal . If I had read this as a kid growing up my heart would have been ablaze with gentleness and possibilities. The woman who wrote this is talented and full of insights. And very very caring for that delicate individual who is beginning their lives in a world that moves very fast. Its a grounding contemplation as a book and also filled with fun activities to drive it home Excellent!!!!!

I purchased this for my daughter and neice and they love this book. I was going through the pages and I want to read this for myself.

I watched the tracking on this order everyday waiting for it to arrive in New Zealand. I am so excited to give this to me tween for Christmas. It is perfect for her to help her negotiate "THAT" age. I have read it myself and even my 40 year old self learnt stuff...I can not wait for her to start to build her own S.O.A Tool Box and see the changes that flow with that. This book is such a gem, I wish that I had had this book when I was a young girl. I'm glad I have it now! Even as an adult there is so much wisdom and insight to be gleaned from this beautiful book. I bought it for my daughter who is only three, but already loves this book. The illustrations are so beautiful and sweet that she loves to look at the pictures while I read it to her. I cannot wait until she is a bit older and can read it herself, and do some of the activities and exercises in this book. This book is like a roadmap to spirituality and connectedness. It gives the reader fun, easy and practical tools to help them explore their inner life. From breathing exercises, meditation, affirmations, manifestation, this book has it all. It really teaches young girls (and boys) about how powerful they are. The world would be infinitely better if we had all had access to the tools in School of Awake when we were growing up. I'm so happy this book exists and I hope all children get the chance to read it. It helps build confidence and compassion, two things that are sorely needed by children today. This book has so much heart and soul, I cannot recommend it enough. Bravo to the author. I absolutely LOVE this book.

It's a small book so the immediate reaction was that it will be a quick read - it was.It would however, be a mistake to also think that because it was a small book that it would not be well written or accurate. Since I was not about to verify each footnote or reference - I will take it the information is as accurate as the author was able to ascertain.The writing, and therefore the reading, was actually quite good as far as a book about history goes. History can be boring and dry but this moved along with good information well written in a manor that kept it interesting.

I am a Connecticut resident and found the book very entertaining. It has the right mix of historical facts and intriguing stories. The book is well written and contains numerous illustrations and charts to supplement the text and stories. The author does a good job of separating fact from folklore. After reading the book I had a better understanding of my states historical past.

Not the best book on the witch trials in the colonies. It lacks substance. Of course, there is not much data available on these occurances, but more thought could have been put into the writing.

This is the definitive resource about the accusation of witches in CT. The presentation is factual and yet contains human stories clearly organized. The result is an interesting history of a dark time that is at risk of being forgotten.

Informative but didn't meet the expectations I had been looking for. I was looking for more detailed information into individual cases but found only generalized stories.

I liked this book a lot. I have a lot of Connecticut ancestors and was very interested in finding out about this part of history. It is written with a very easy to read style and provided a great bibliography. It is not a comprehensive study of each case but more of an overview. I would like to find a deep study of this topic.

I am a Christian man who has struggled with pornography and othe sexual issues for most of my life. When I was 38 I finally realized I couldn't get rid of my addiction on my own and I joined a support group. The leader recommended this book and it really did the trick. For the first time I was given the tools to really combat my addiction. The book is meant to be read over the course of 30 days. It has a short 3-5 page chapter to read each day and a short journaling assignment. Each day you focus on another step or tool to help combat your sexual issues. It was what I needed to jumpstart my path toward sobriety. It gives you clear tools and plans to take with you the rest of your life to help combat sexual addiction. I have now been "sober" for over a year and I have recently taken over the leadership of the group that helped me to overcome my addiction. This is an amazing book and I highly recommend it. It should not be done alone however. One of the steps that he outlines in the book is to make sure that you part of a support group. Joe Dallas has a lot of other resources and speaks nationwide. This is a full sized, like letter paper sized, coloring journal. There are lined pages, pages with boxes and prompts, verses, fully illustrated and partially illustrated pages. The illustrations are not detailed designs like most adult coloring books making them simple to color as they are. There's plenty of room to embellish or not as you see fit. I find inspiration to write, draw, pray, read, and/or color every time I sit down with this.

I loved this coloring book so much that I purchased two as gifts. There are so many coloring books out there but I'm pleased I chose this one. I appreciate the options this book allows as a journal, coloring book or simply to enjoy meditating on the scriptures. Amazon has one happy camper here!!:)

I have not started using it just get, but look like what i was looking for, The only thing i wish is the Scripture would be from the NKJV.

I also particularly like the prompt at the beginning to go back to over time and add attributes of God you have learned during your quiet time. The pictures are adorable and there are just enough prompts to give you writing ideas while still leaving plenty room for your own train of thought. Lovely little journal!

The artwork is beautiful and inspiring. I love that I can doodle while I meditate on the scripture! Great quality product!

I love Tozers writings, I wish I would have checked into this a little more before I bought it though. I was expecting something more substantial. The chapters are only a couple pages long and they are edited doewn versions of his sermons. The chapters very loosely relate to each other for several chapters and then the theme changes to something else. Don't get this and expect a deep look at Tozers writings or to be really able to understand his theology on a certain topic. This is more of a devotional that can be read chapter by chapter in about 5 minute sessions.I will admit I have not read the entire book yet, it looks like there are some more substantial chapters later in the book. I will update this review later if I find anything different.Don't get me wrong though, nothing wrong with the content, it just wasn't really what I was expecting.

Two wonderful books. Many topics covered. Tozar has such great insight and one gets the feeling that his writings are divinely inspired. An absolute must for supplemental reading
